This is what summer is all about, friends, family, food and flowers! Previously a field, Kingdom Gardens created and planted this garden back in 2004. This weekend it was a treat to relax and watch the kids play in this glorious, rural setting.
James admires his handiwork, climbing roses and honeysuckle growing on the stone pillars he built from reclaimed York walling stone. In the matching raised beds a long lasting colourful display of Astrantia Claret, Geum Mrs J Bradshaw and Salvia Purple Rain.
Loads of places for kids to roam and explore- this ‘secret’ path next to the field is screened by planting , leading to a hidden tree seat – great for exploring and climbing!
The rustic ‘Loggia’ with stone pillars and oak beams offers a sheltered spot for outdoor dining.
The warm reds, purples and golds of this modern planting scheme look incredible in the late afternoon summer sun.
