August 2018, we were contacted by The Great Gardening Challenge Team from Crackitt Productions.  They invited us to apply to be on a brand new TV series: a competition for professional garden design teams to create gardens for charity organisations and community groups.

Within 24 hours we were sat in one of our favourite customer gardens, surrounded by flowers, with two TV producers and a camera. They had travelled from London to meet with us and filmed us talking about gardens, how we met, our family and what inspires us, amongst other things.

Camilo and Adrian were so warm and friendly, they made us feel really relaxed – despite the large camera! They loved the garden that we created in Sutton in Craven and spent ages taking footage of all the gorgeous plants…

Then the waiting game, while we were waiting to hear if we were successful in being selected to take part in the series, the Crackitt Production team were scouring the country, not just for garden design teams but also seeking out charities and community groups who needed help to create an outside space which will enhance the lives of some truly deserving and inspiring individuals, from war veterans to care homes for the disabled, hospitals to dementia sufferers.

As you can see – James was thrilled at the prospect!!!
